About Us

YOUTAF is a youth-led non-profit organization based in Alberta incorporated in January 2021, aimed at empowering underrepresented youths to become community leaders in diverse Canadian communities.

Who We Are

We are a non-profit organization based in Alberta, aimed at developing diverse community leaders (called Talented Fellows) in communities across the country. We recruit talented young leaders and provide them with leadership and career development while diversifying our country’s talent pipeline. Our target is to become the most influential and accessible youth run organization in the world. All we want is to serve the community through the youths, creating a limitless boundary for the less privileged youth.

Our Core Values

We believe in leveling the playing field, ensuring that every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, has the same opportunities to thrive, grow, and contribute.

  • Diversity and Inclusion

We believe that a nation is stronger by its diversity. We learn from our differences to build a common goal.

  • Integrity

We believe that people should meet their civil responsibility by acting responsibly with public and personal trust.

  • Innovation

We believe in tackling environmental issues and community development by creative actions that generate solutions.

  • Collaboration

We believe in the collective effort to build a stronger community.

  • Learning and Self Development

We believe in individual quest for new information and strategically apply that knowledge for community development.

Our Core Values Include:

We empower underrepresented youths

Vision

A limitless society where youths can show case their potentials to the fullest

Mandate

We identify, develop, and support talented young people nationwide, diversifying the talent pool and fostering inclusive opportunities.

Mission

Empowering underrepresented youths, helping them unleash their potentials even as they contribute to national development.

Why YOUTAF?

For too long, the underrepresented youths are neglected, particularly those who identified as Black or people of Color.

They lack cultural safety and inclusion in the community. Immigrant youth of color (IYOC) face language, cultural, and income barriers when accessing support. The impact of these challenges has resulted in significant number of youths never fully realizing the fullness of their potential.
